Beginning Wednesday, July 6, our branches will have new branch hours. We’re making this change to simplify your experience and update our branch operations to meet your growing financial needs. We hope to create increased consistency and predictability to make your banking easier.

Only 22 branches across our Self-Help footprint will have updated hours. Should you have questions regarding your local branch's new hours, please visit your state's location page listed below.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Self-Help wants to eliminate confusion and simplify the experience for members by establishing some standards across our branch network. Current business hours were established decades ago by the original legacy credit unions to support members in various job industries. Over the years we have realized those conditions or needs have changed and thus we are adjusting our hours to match the needs expressed by most members.
We have identified that a total of 23 branches will be impacted, across Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Majority of the changes include expanding business hours or remain neural in the number of hours opened to the public in a modified way that offers more convenience.
Most of Self-Help branches will have identical business hours in specific markets e.g., all branches in North Carolina will open at 9AM and close at 5PM Monday through Friday. This alignment will bring consistency and predictability for our members.
In many cases, members will experience increased convenience as we are expanding the service hours to branches that previously had shorter service hours. For example, all branches in Jacksonville, FL will have an extra 30 minutes and close at 5PM every business day. We expect minimal adverse impact to branch member service due to opening at 9AM and closing at 5PM.
We offer multiple channels to access credit union services. Our Mobile Banking app allows you to make various money transfer types, payments, deposit checks, pay bills, locate our branches, review transaction and more. Our Online Banking allows you to apply for any consumer loans, and review statements, setup reminders and alarms, and more. Our ATM network is available 24/7 with typical features like withdrawals, balance checks, transfers, and cash/check deposits. Finally, our Audio Banking is one of our highly used channels that allow members access to information about their account and execute select activities.
We have not considered opening branches on Saturdays. Members have not indicated the need to open on Saturdays.
