There are multiple ways to be eligible for business / non-profit membership in Self-Help Credit Union:
Free Membership - You can be eligible for membership if you live, work, worship or attend school in any of our eligible counties, or have a family or employer affiliation with us. Learn more.
Mission-Supportive Membership - Not eligible for free membership? You can become a mission-supportive member by paying a one-time $5 fee to join our Center for Community Self-Help.

Located in California or Chicago? Consider joining Self-Help Federal Credit Union.
Open an Account in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: Complete, print, and sign a Business / Nonprofit Application with Help Sheet.
Step 2: Complete one of the following applications for each account you’d like to open:
Step 3: Deliver the completed membership application, account application(s), and any deposits to your nearest branch by mail or in person. If there isn’t a branch near you, mail any forms and deposits to us at 301 W. Main St, Durham, NC 27701. If you are not eligible for free membership, please include a one-time $5 fee to join the Center for Community Self-Help.
