What: Tour to Update Media on Revolution Mill Redevelopment Progress

GREENSBORO, NC - Self-Help, owner of Revolution Mill, is hosting a tour for media interested in the latest progress on the Mill’s redevelopment. Interested media are requested to arrive at 10 am on Tuesday October 20.

Revolution Mill was purchased in September 2012 by Self-Help, a Durham-based nonprofit founded in 1980. One of Greensboro’s most significant landmarks located just two miles north of downtown, the Mill is now being fully built out as a 570,000 square foot mixed use development.  Self-Help has also purchased Olympic Mill and Revolution Mill House.  The total project encompasses approximately 50 acres and  the investment will exceed $100M, making it the largest current commercial construction project in Greensboro.

When completed in late 2016, Revolution Mill will include:

• 142 one and two-bedroom apartments
• 240,000 square feet of light-filled office space
• Multiple dining options
• Space for working artists
• Galleries
• A variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces for creative activity
• A planned greenway making the campus a short  bike ride to downtown via the Latham Park trail and the Downtown Greenway.

The Revolution Mill District is a historic textile mill campus encompassing Revolution Mill and Olympic Mill sites, with adjacent land connected by North Buffalo Creek.
