This Monday morning as enterprises all over Chicago open their doors for business, there will be a very special reopening on the South Side. After more than a year of renovations, Seaway, a division of Self-Help Federal Credit Union, will again open its original headquarters building on 87th Street in Chatham.

The building will include over 9,000 square feet of retail and office space; over 5,000 square feet for our partner tenant Neighborhood Housing Services; more than 7,000 square feet of tenant space on the second floor; and a high-quality community meeting facility in the basement.

This major renovation represents the continuation of Seaway’s legacy on the South Side, a commitment to fair financial services in the community, and an investment in Chatham’s future. We look forward to seeing our Seaway members at the updated branch this month, with a festive grand opening to follow at a later date.
