Internship Program:
Self-Help/CRL offers a 10 week summer internship program that is designed to give students valuable experience in a professional setting while broadening their knowledge of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI’s). Along with each specific intern project, the intern will participate in a series of brownbag lunches to learn more about Self-Help and the Community Development industry as a whole. Interns will also be given the opportunity to network with one another and other Self-Helpers through a variety of planned events.

Internship Description:
In 2019 our intern will help us continue building our workplace wellness program, underway for almost 6 years, but still being refined and adapted. You will work on a mix of project implementation and program design. The Workplace Wellness Intern will bring increased rigor, best practices, and creativity to the design and evaluation of Self-Help’s workplace wellness program, resulting in improved outcomes and participation.

Essential Responsibilities:
*Evaluate effectiveness and perceptions of wellness practices adopted in Self-Help’s branches during 2017/2018
* Assist with deploying additional wellness incentives in branch locations
* Implement an organization-wide fitness challenge and collect data on participation and effectiveness
* May assist with implementation of new wellness tracking tool in all locations
* Recommend options for increasing impact of the Wellness program
* Develop communications materials to share with locations to promote wellness

Skills/experience:
Strong communication and writing skills
Organized
Knowledge of health behaviors and behavior change

Physical Requirements:
Frequently requires use of manual dexterity and repetitive motions, primarily with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to occasionally lift and exert force of up to 10 pounds.
